“But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.” — Matthew 6:6

My little worship corner has been deeply personal these past few days, which is why there’s been a gap in sharing. But today I felt so strongly that I needed to write this: the Father is waiting. He longs for us to come into the secret place and spend time with Him.

So often we put barriers between ourselves and God—many of them subconscious. We create these ideas of what meeting with Him is supposed to look like, and then disqualify ourselves when we don’t measure up. But Jesus tore the veil that separated us. We don’t have to come with fear or formality, and yet it’s not about being careless either. We come with reverence, but also with the freedom of children running into their Father’s arms.

He is never too busy. He is never uninterested. He wants you. He wants me. He delights when we come. Whether it’s praising, praying, reading His Word, singing, journaling, listening to a message, or simply sitting in silence—what matters is that we come.

Because He is the answer we are looking for. He is hope, love, joy, wisdom, guidance, and peace. He is freedom, salvation, redemption, and new life. There is no one like Him, and there never will be. He sees us exactly as we are and loves us just the same, so much so that He removed every barrier of guilt and shame. In Him there is now only grace and freedom.

“Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” — Romans 8:1

Someone needed to hear this today. I know I did. And I pray you will hear His call and respond.

“The Spirit and the bride say, ‘Come!’ And let the one who hears say, ‘Come!’ Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life.” — Revelation 22:17

In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
